A fashion favourite is back for Spring! Monochrome spots continue to gather momentum from the catwalks, to the high street fashion labels and now, we welcome them to the restaurant floor. Black and white is a must have…but try adding a Brodie Fedora with red trim or yellow Marco tie for a pop of colour for extra impact! Sometimes it’s the little things, like adding a polka dot print, that will make a big difference!

A generation has gone by steering clear of fashion taboo ‘Double Denim’ …most likely thanks to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s matching denim ensembles back in 2000 (sorry, you can't un-see that!).

A look that was so uncool yesterday, is now making a come back thanks the the big designer brands (big tick for TOM FORD at NYFW 2014) as well as the street bloggers and modern day celebs.

With more of a focus on a relaxed mood for dressing in general, we have been found guilty of breaking this unwritten fashion law ourselves by launching our own denim range for hospitality. You’re welcome! Try a Dexter denim shirt, with a Hampton denim apron. Or, if you are not prepared to go head to toe denim, maybe try adding our Bravo denim tie with our denim trim Harvey check shirt. The key to getting it right in 2014 is keeping it simple.

Don't think traditional school uniforms or cowboy checks…the colours we have used for our UBD check shirts are a little bolder for a funkier look. A check shirt has an easy going vibe that is easily suited to most venues. Perfect finished off with a beanie or cap. Try adding a Bravo denim tie to elevate the outfit to something even more stylish. The denim trims added to the UBD Harvey check shirt make this shirt even easier to co-ordinate with other denim pieces from denim jeans, to denim aprons. The relaxed fit means its a perfect style for all shapes and sizes.

Military detailing instantly creates a season-less and versatile look that will not clash with your vibe, but simply adds another dimension to what is more than likely a hipster or urban environment.

The UBD Tommy shirt can be worn buttoned up in a traditional way, or roll the sleeves up and fasten with a button tab so that you can get your hands dirty (or just look cool). Great worn with any of our fedora’s and finish off the look with our black Hampton apron. Keep it tonal if you can….a look that you and your staff will want to wear off duty!

Floral prints are synonymous with Spring and Summer, but not far behind is the gingham check for a guaranteed seasonal wardrobe update. Classic gingham button through shirts for work are just as on trend as some of the other more playful gingham styles available in the fashion world this Spring/ Summer. But wait, what is that we hear you ask -  what will you do with your Gingham purchase in winter? Don’t panic - there will always a place for gingham in your staff’s wardrobe ….more colours and styles coming soon!
